Suzanne has co-authored two non-fiction books. Most recently, she co-authored The Lost Whale (St. Martin’s Press, 2013), with her husband, Michael Parfit.

She is the co-author of the US version of Blame it on the Weather (Key Porter, 1999), along with Michael Parfit and renowned Canadian meteorologist, David Phillips. 

She also co-authored a chapter called “Polar Regions” in a National Geographic book, Last Wild Places (National Geographic Society, 1998).

She recently wrote an opinion piece about online learning, which was published in the Globe and Mail in January 2022.

Suzanne’s capstone project for her Doctor of Education degree, titled “Enhancing the EdTech Ecosystem in a British Columbia School District” can be found here.

Suzanne is currently working on a children’s picture book about a young orca who lost his family and tried to befriend people.
